Sunshine, live music, and refreshing beverages are the epitome of spring. Or is that only us? But you have to admit, there’s something wonderful about getting outside, feeling the sun on your face, smelling the fresh air—and then, of course, you’re thirsty, so something delicious to sip on makes it all that much better. And we’ve got you covered! These three drink recipes are light, refreshing, and perfect for welcoming in springtime.

Layered Strawberry Mango Slush

Layered Strawberry Mango Slush

Sweet, fruity, and icy, this mocktail uses the best flavors of spring while adding the fun element of layering!
3 cups of frozen strawberries
3 cups ice, divided
1 cup water, divided
⅔ cup lime juice, divided
½ cup orange juice, divided
¼ cup simple syrup (see Tip), divided
3 cups frozen mango chunks
1. Place strawberries, 1 1/2 cups ice, 1/2 cup water, 1/3 cup lime juice, 1/4 cup orange juice, and 2 tablespoons of simple syrup in a blender. Puree until smooth. Transfer to a pitcher.
2. Rinse out the blender jar. Place mango and the remaining 1 1/2 cups ice, 1/2 cup water, 1/3 cup lime juice, 1/4 cup orange juice, and 2 tablespoons simple syrup in the blender. Puree until smooth.
3. Layer the two drinks in 6 glasses. Leave the layers distinct or partially stir together for a swirled design.
Tip: To make your own simple syrup: Bring 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a medium saucepan, stirring frequently to dissolve the sugar. Let cool for 30 minutes and then refrigerate until cold, at least 1 hour. Makes about 1 1/2 cups.
